Beyond Behavior: A Foundation for Supporting Children/Adults with Disabilities with
Reputations for Difficult Behavior

Series of four workshops presented by David Yeiter (download full info flyer)

Overview: This four-part series of workshops is for those who want to explore possible ways to effectively support individuals who have been identified as having “difficult behaviors”. Each of the workshops is separate and complete, and they are not necessarily interdependent, i.e., you do not have to attend workshop 1 in order to understand workshop 2, etc. However, the pieces all work together. Each workshop will include some lecture, stories, group exercises and videos to illustrate points made. Emphasis will be upon conversation: Attendees will be encouraged to participate in discussion and share information about what they are personally struggling with as they try to support an individual who has a disability.

Who should attend: Parents, Special Needs Teachers, Paraprofessionals, Program Managers, Service Coordinators, Direct Support Staff, Psychologists, Behaviorists, those who support people with disabilities.
