Jan 16, 2020:  MDS has an immediate opening for an Associate Director for the Individual Service Options Department (MDS-ISO). The Associate Director will assist the ISO Director in the planning, organizing and implementation of day-to-day operations of the department. Under minimal direction will oversee daily activities of designated programs, including scheduling, training and ongoing supervision of staff and ensuring adequate staffing is in place for all shifts, ready to step in as needed, and ensures program follows all policies of Individual Service Agreement.

The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to:
• Effectively manage a small caseload of clients.
• Work with the department director to address day to day issues within all areas of the department.
• Maintain medication administration certification for multiple individuals.
• Take a lead role in scheduling using the Direct Support Professionals’ staffing program.
• Develop, perform and assist with staff training and/or workshops pertaining to individual’s needs and safety.
• Perform unannounced quality assurance visits at houses as needed.
• Contribute to budget development, understand budget oversight responsibilities and manage individual programs within budget.
• Assist in program manager supervision as requested/assigned.
• Take initiative to improve work practices and responds to a changing work environment.
• Identify potential challenges and provides support required by creative problem solving, crisis intervention and team facilitation.
• Perform “on call” responsibilities on an assigned rotating basis.

Education/Experience:  BA in Human Services preferred. Minimum of four years of experience in Human Services or related field with supervisory experience beyond entry level staff.

Working Conditions:  Work schedule is usual office hours: Monday through Friday (8:00 am – 4:30 pm), with flexibility to accommodate individuals served, their family and agency schedules/events.

MDS is looking for people to provide temporary relief/respite to primary caregivers of an individual who is at risk or has a disability. Flexible scheduling allows for many options, and respite can take place in the community, at your home, or at the family home.

MDS is seeking applicants who can use discretion and independent judgment to deliver quality care to persons with a developmental disability or acquired brain disorder. Enjoy a variety of responsibilities – reading, games, shopping, and other community activities – to enrich a person's life in a meaningful way. Monadnock Developmental Services is seeking highly committed and loving Adult Foster Care providers (Home Providers) in the Keene and Peterborough area. Adult Foster Care is a family setting for adults who are unable to live alone due to a physical or developmental disability.  Providers do not need to be married or own their home, they may rent, be single, or have children. Providers should possess patience, common sense, a genuine acceptance of the person with the disability and the willingness to open their home. MDS will provide on-going support, training and a generous stipend.
