If you receive Case Management through Area Agency Services then you may have heard the terms conflict free case management, or conflict of interest and you may be wondering what this means.

The Center for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS) is requiring New Hampshire to make changes in two areas of the service delivery system:

1. Conflict of Interest in Case Management to be in compliance with the Home and Community Based Setting (HCBS) Regulations requiring the separation of Case Management (Service Coordination) and direct service delivery; and

2. New Hampshire’s Organized Health Care Delivery System, relating to the payment process for providers.

How can you be involved?

You can attend a forum or complete the online survey. The forum in Keene is on November 20th at 6pm at MDS Keene. There may be videoconferencing available at MDS Peterborough if there is enough interest -- please indicate your interest in videoconference when RSVPing.

NH Family Voices has been contracted to hold forums across the state in conjunction with the online survey to allow families and individuals opportunities to participate. Click here or check below to find out dates and places of these family forums around the state.
