CSCHoliday2017WebMore than 100 people gathered at Troy Elementary School on Saturday, December 2nd for the annual MDS-CSC Holiday Luncheon. Families and friends came together for a delicious meal, cheerful conversations, fun games, and a visit from Santa, who graciously gave the gift of books to each of the 60 children attending. Check out the photo slideshow on YouTube.

This special Holiday Luncheon is put on by the Children’s Services Coordination (CSC) department at Monadnock Developmental Services (MDS). The event is for families served by MDS, and is intended to embrace the spirit of the holidays by promoting community, joy and togetherness. The gift of books to children helps foster reading and literacy.

We want to thank United Natural Foods, Inc. (UNFI), C&S Wholesale Grocers and MDS staff members for donating hundreds of books for distribution. Special thanks to SAU#93 and Troy Elementary School for allowing us to use their facilities, and to the MDS Family Councils for their support of the event. Special thanks to Sylas Castor and Skip Mason. Thanks and appreciation also go out to the many community members and MDS families who made this special Holiday Luncheon successful through volunteering their time and with contributions.

Photos from the event are available as a slideshow on YouTube -- click here.

During this holiday season, all of us at MDS are truly grateful to be able to help bring the true meaning of the holidays to so many children and families served by MDS. Thanks to all for sharing the spirit of giving and receiving.
