UNH-IOD Leadership Series participants are asking families to fill out a quick survey by February 15 to help them inform the Bureau of Special Medical Services (BSMS) on how to improve the quality of their supports to families and children. Below is their letter of request.

Please take a moment and click here to go to the survey (by February 15).

Dear New Hampshire Families,
We are a group of students currently enrolled in the UNH Institute on Disabilities Leadership Series. We are working on a project that will inform the Bureau of Special Medical Services.

The Bureau of Special Medical Services (BSMS) wants to learn how to improve the system for children and families. BSMS is implementing the Standards of Quality for Family Strengthening and Support that includes a standard around family-centeredness.
The BSMS is seeking a recommendation for developing a statewide advisory body for the system of care for Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs (CYSHCN) and their families.

We have been gathering information from representatives of Partners in Health and Area Agencies across the state but now we would like to hear from you! Your experience and input is crucial in creating a family centered support system that works for all.

Please take a moment to answer the following survey to help us understand how you are affected by these services and how we may be able to improve the system statewide. In order to allow us ample time to process the survey, please respond no later than February 15th.

Our group will also be conducting in-person interviews to create a documentary that will be presented to the Bureau of Special Medical Services.
