On January 6, Governor Sununu and the Executive Council were sworn in. This was done virtually at 7:00 p.m.

The House and Senate were also sworn in on January 6. The House met in their cars in the parking lot of the University of New Hampshire. There has been discussion about how the House will meet going forward. There have been objections to the drive-in style meetings. It is unclear how this will all work out. CSNI's lobbyist Alex Koutroubas says, “We all should be able to participate and monitor what is going on virtually.”

The Senate has formed a committee to combine some of their bills on similar topics. The House has not done this so far, but it is expected they will do so.

Hearings may begin in the Senate in early February, and they will be public hearings, but the logistics are still being worked out.

The language for the bills is beginning to come out. The Dental bill is back and we will probably see that come through the budget. The policy side is decided – it is now a fiscal issue.

The 3.1% Medicaid rate increase is being implemented now, effective January.

It is expected that the Governor will introduce the budget around February 11. The proposed budget will begin in the House and then go to the Senate. Hopefully, the budget will be finalized by the end of June.

CSNI (Community Support Network Inc.) is tracking about 50 bills, many of which are on COVID 19 and vaccines, and also including Employer Liability, Telemedicine, Dental for adults on Medicaid, and whether to mandate vaccines for employees.

There will be public hearings, virtually, starting in early February and further on. To find out when the hearings are, please check the CSNI website or email Heather Young at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Unfortunately, but for good reasons, the Statewide Family Support Conference has been postponed till 2022.

Thank you.
