Vaccinations for MDS IndividualsWhat an amazing day we had this past Friday, February 26! On that day 172 MDS individuals, family members and staff got their first vaccination dose at the Krif Road vaccination site in Keene.

A HUGE thank you to the Greater Monadnock Public Health staff and volunteers, the National Guard, and to YOU, staff, families and Providers who made it happen. This has been such a long journey, one that at times seemed would never have a light at the end of the tunnel. Today, that light is shining bright!

We strongly encourage everyone to get vaccinated – it’s safe, effective, and truly will protect you and others around you. Building herd immunity in our community is so essential to controlling this virus.

PLEASE NOTE: It is still critical that all of us follow COVID safety protocols for the next several months – MASKS, SOCIAL DISTANCING, HANDWASHING and avoiding CROWDS, CLOSED SPACES, and CLOSE CONTACT. Keeping everyone COVID-safe continues to be our top priority. Despite great progress on the vaccinations, we are still at risk. These safeguards remain important even if you've been fortunate enough to have received both vaccines.

It’s hard to believe that we’re coming up on a year when COVID-19 interrupted our lives so dramatically. Your adherence to protocols, your dedication to the individuals and families we serve, and your help in keeping us safe has made all the difference during this difficult time.

Thank you all for your perseverance, flexibility, understanding and support!
