What’s this new thing, the Quality Satisfaction Survey (QSS)?

Starting in January 2021, the Bureau of Developmental Services rolled out a new list of questions to replace “are you satisfied with services” at routine quarterly meetings. The hope in this was to get more specific information about quality quarterly.

Some may have experienced this already but for those that have not, the satisfaction questions that service coordinators will be looking to get answers on at quarterly meetings are noted below.

*Do you feel that the current services match the interests and needs of the individual?
*Are you satisfied with the current services?
*Has progress been made on goals included in the service agreement?
*Do the current services meet the individual’s environmental and personal safety needs?
*Is there anything else that service coordination could do to improve the quality of your current services?
*If in residential services…
*Do you get support from the people who help you at home to do things you like in the community?
*Do you get to go into the community as often as you like?
*Are there places you would like to go that you do not currently go to?
*If in Community Participation Services…
*During Community Participation Services are you able to go and do things you like in the community?
*Are there places you would like to go that you do not currently go to?
*Do you have a job? If yes, would you like more hours?

Any questions can be directed to your Adult Service Coordinator.
