For the fourth year in a row, LifeArt has worked with the Greater Keene Chamber of Commerce for their annual holiday “lights up” event on Saturday, November 13th. More than 40 lighted and bowed wreaths were affixed to the light poles around Central Square and down the center median of Main Street. LifeArt volunteers, led by Marie Moody, were responsible for putting new lights on each of the wreaths.

Tom Dowling, President of the Greater Keene Chamber of Commerce, presented a thank-you cake to the folks at LifeArt on Wednesday, November 17th.  “We really appreciate the hard work everyone did to make this years’ holiday lights the best ever.” He added, “LifeArt’s contribution to this and the many other events in Keene is important to our community, and we thank you.”

Other volunteers and contributors to this festive event included those who provided the bucket trucks to hang the wreaths:  Bill Lantz of Cable Connection, Gary Winslow of Time Warner and Lt. Brian Sheppard of the Keene Fire Department.  The Community Resources for Justice (Tony Meade) cleaned all the wreaths. Also on hand to help were Don Driscoll, George Foskett, Joe Jacobs, Laverne Ells, Jessica O’Connor, Nancy Petrillo, Sue Farrell, Sue Silver, Tom and Heather Minkler, Tom and Rosemarie Dowling, Lynn Rust and Bill and Deb O'Meara.
